Doula course, Reflexology course and Reiki course in one

After years of teaching a conventional doula training program, Michelle Stroud knew she had to step away to invest the time into creating a one of a kind Holistic Reproductive Practitioner training program. The usual doula course curriculum is great, but there was a reason why Michelle knew she had to create something unique.

Michelle was never an ordinary doula. First off, the majority of Michelle's birth doula clients started out as fertility clients first. She built a relationship with them as they struggled to conceive by providing them with natural healing support that helped them to relax deeply, heal from reproductive health conditions and balance their hormones to conceive naturally or improve their chances with IUI or IVF. Almost all of Michelle's clients also came for reflexology and/or Reiki healing sessions. In addition to infertility she helped her clients after miscarriages, with morning sickness, constipation, high blood pressure, after birth trauma, with breech babies, during postpartum and more.

Reflexology and Reiki sessions are holistic healing modalities that stimulate our body's natural healing response. By combining emotional support, information and advocacy support and the body, mind and spirit healing effects of reflexology and Reiki, Michelle's clients were able to have even better conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum and loss experiences.

Building a birth business can be hard but having multiple streams of income by being able to reach the needs of more people and meet more of their needs makes good business sense and it makes clients happier too.

By the Moon's Holistic Reproductive Practitioner training is not just a doula course. Students receive certifications as Holistic Full Spectrum Doulas (doulas who can provide support at all stages of reproductive life including infertility, postpartum or even loss), Reflexologists and Second Degree Reiki Practitioners with additional certificates for Fertility & Maternity Reflexology and Fertility & Maternity Reiki.

Once students dive into this holistic practitioner and doula curriculum they quickly realize they're no longer able to imagine serving their doula clients without these holistic modalities. Reflexology and Reiki are not only incredibly beneficial before, during and after pregnancy but also during birth. The relaxation helps clients enter and stay in the trance like brainwave states that are conducive to birth progress. The relaxation helps relieve tension that can lengthen or complicate labour while also increasing pain. Birth is not just a physiological process, but also an emotional and spiritual one as well. Fears, old traumas and other conscious or unconscious blocks can absolutely affect labour progress and reflexology and Reiki are powerful, safe and effective tools that help clients have even more empowering and positive birth experiences.

All doula course, reflexology course and Reiki course curriculum can be completed online and By the Moon has successfully certified students from all over Canada, the USA and internationally. In person training is optional but highly recommended. Our students love the retreat like experience as they give and receive reflexology and Reiki sessions, practice healing techniques for reproductive health conditions, energy healing techniques and ceremony, daily practices of fertility (yin) yoga or prenatal yoga, hypnosis experiences and much more. It's an intimate experience of holding space, connecting with like minded wellness entrepreneurs from all over and healing.
